The Pear shelving unit is a tall open shelving unit shaped like a juicy pear with a leaf, combining the capacity of an adult furniture module with a design a child can relate to. Six shelves up to 2 metres high hold the books, toys, construction sets and teaching materials of a whole group, while the shaped silhouette turns an ordinary storage system into a bright decorative element of a kindergarten group room, a primary school classroom or a children's library.
The body is made of 16 mm laminated chipboard in a rich yellow colour, with edges protected by 2 mm PVC banding — this edging withstands impacts in children's rooms and does not chip on the edges of shaped parts. The decorative "leaf" overlay is made of 16 mm MDF in lime-coloured PVC thermal film. The design includes wall fixing, which secures the tall unit.
