Unlike the closed cabinets of the series, element No. 2 of the High Castle is a fully open shelf unit. This storage format supports children's independence: books, board games, and baskets of materials are visible at a glance and can be taken without an adult's help. The 810 mm height matches the stature of preschoolers and primary school pupils, so the unit is often used to organise learning centres following the New Ukrainian School principles.
The body and shelves are made of 16 mm laminated chipboard, the back panel of white single-sided 2.5 mm HDF. The facade edges are banded with 1 mm PVC, the others with 0.5 mm. The signature detail of the series is the 10 mm painted MDF overlays in green, which support the "castle" image of the composition. Body colour options: cream, yellow, lime, or red.
