Element No. 4 of the Mysterious Universe wall unit is a narrow tall cabinet, 356x400x1400 mm, supplied straight away with Gratnells N1 series trays included (the price includes the trays, as pictured). The trays sit on plastic runners and pull out completely: a child takes their tray of materials to the desk and returns it after the lesson — a familiar routine for NUS spaces and kindergartens.
The body, shelves, and doors are made of 16 mm laminated chipboard: the body in milk oak, the facade in cream. The facade is edged with 1 mm PVC banding, the remaining parts with 0.5 mm; the back panel is white 2.5 mm HDF. The space-themed image is applied with UV inks onto the chipboard and coated with lacquer, so the facade withstands abrasion, minor damage, and wet cleaning. Fastening: minifix fittings and euro screws.
