The carcass is made of 18 mm laminated chipboard and has two compartments sized for large demonstration materials. The back panel is made of 2.5 mm fibreboard. The unit is fitted with metal legs adjustable within 0-30 mm, allowing it to stand level on an uneven classroom floor.
