Height-Adjustable School Chair

This height-adjustable chair is designed for New Ukrainian School classrooms, where children of different heights study in the same room. The adjustment lets furniture be fitted to each child without buying several sets for one desk.

The metal frame is made from square tubing, 25 x 25 x 1.2 mm and 20 x 20 x 1.2 mm, with height adjustment via two telescopic sleeves. Metal parts are powder-coated, and all protruding tube ends are capped with plastic caps or "shoes". The frame legs use a reinforced ski-type design with a wide floor contact area for extra stability.

The seat and backrest are made of bent-glued beech plywood, 7–8 mm thick, with rounded edges and an anatomical shape. They are attached to the frame with special rivets that prevent injury, protect clothing, and stop students from taking the chair apart. The model complies with DSTU HOST 22046:2004; geometry and dimensions follow DSTU prEN 1729-1:2004, and safety follows DSTU ENV 1729-2:2004.
