School Set No.3-6, Tilt-Top Desk and Chair with HPL

School set No.3–6 is a complete single-seat workstation: a desk with an adjustable worktop tilt angle and a T-frame chair finished with HPL. Its key advantage is correct student posture: the height of both items adjusts to growth groups, while the worktop can be set at any angle from 0° to 16°, reducing strain on eyes and back during writing, reading and drawing.

The desktop is made of 16 mm laminated chipboard with PVC edging and features a pen tray, holes for a book stand and a cup hole protected by a plastic sleeve. The tilt angle is set by a growth-gauge type mechanism (positions 0°, 3°, 5°, 7°, 9°, 12°, 14°, 16°), and a clamping limiter with a plastic handle prevents accidental angle changes. The frame is welded from flat-oval tubes 50×30, 38×20 and 30×15 mm plus round tubes d25 and d32 mm; the height is fixed with a through bolt-and-cap-nut tie that will not loosen from rocking. The chair has a 380×360 mm seat and a 380×200 mm backrest made of 8.5–9.5 mm bent-glued plywood covered with wear-resistant 0.5 mm HPL; the seat depth is adjustable, fastenings are safe mushroom-head bolts with rounded nuts, and a polyurethane sleeve in the adjustment points eliminates squeaking.

Height settings are easy to verify without tools: a hole in the frame reveals colour-coded growth group marks, with an engraved scale next to it. Why is HPL better than varnished plywood? The 0.5 mm HPL laminate is more resistant to scratches, wet cleaning and disinfectants, so the seat and backrest keep a neat appearance much longer under daily classroom use.

Is the tilt mechanism safe for children? Yes: the angle is locked by a clamping limiter, so a student cannot change the position accidentally, while a teacher can readjust the tilt in seconds without tools.
