School Desk, Single Student Desk with Tilt Adjustment, Groups 3-6

This single student desk with tabletop tilt adjustment is designed for height groups 3–6 — from junior to middle grades. It is a desk for institutions adopting an ergonomic approach to learning: the tilted tabletop holds a book or notebook at the correct angle to the eyes, reduces head tilt while writing, reading and drawing, and helps develop healthy posture.

The tilt angle is changed by a ratchet-type mechanism in eight positions: 0°, 3°, 5°, 7°, 9°, 12°, 14° and 16°. A clamping limiter with a convenient plastic handle blocks accidental angle changes — the student will not "drop" the tabletop during a lesson. The central part of the tabletop features a pencil groove and holes for a book holder; on the right there is a d60 mm hole for a stationery cup, protected by a plastic sleeve. The wooden parts are made of laminated chipboard from 16 mm with 1 and 0.5 mm PVC edging. The frame consists of flat-oval tubes 50×30, 38×20, 30×15 mm and round d25 and d32 mm tubes with a powder coating; the height is set between 580 and 760 mm, and the selected height group is visible through a hole in the frame via colour marking and a laser-engraved scale.

Why does a school need desks with a tilting top? A tilted surface brings the text closer to perpendicular to the line of sight: the child tilts the head and back less and the eyes tire more slowly — especially noticeable in reading and art lessons.

Can the student change the angle accidentally? No, the mechanism has a clamping limiter with a plastic handle: until it is released, the tabletop is rigidly fixed in the selected position.

How can the facility manager verify the height setting? The colour marking of the height group is visible through a hole in the lower part of the frame, with a laser-engraved scale next to it — checking takes seconds without any tools.
