Two-Seat Student Laboratory Table with Socket and HPL Plastic

The two-seat student laboratory table 136305 HPL is fitted with a 10A–42V socket for connecting low-voltage teaching equipment, and its tabletop is protected with HPL plastic. This pairing makes the model a strong fit for physics and chemistry rooms: instruments plug in right at the workplace, while the surface shrugs off wet cleaning, accidental scratches and years of daily use by two students.

The socket's key safety feature is a design that rules out inserting standard 220V household plugs — a student physically cannot connect an unauthorised device. The table comes with a cable-routing bracket offering six mounting positions on the modesty panel. Carcass parts are made of 18 mm laminated chipboard with 1.0 and 0.5 mm PVC edging, and the top is faced with 0.4–0.5 mm HPL. The frame of flat-oval tubes 50×30, 38×20 and 30×15 mm (1.2 mm wall) is powder-enamelled and equipped with plastic end caps, adjustable feet and provision for bolting to the floor.

Could a 220V household appliance be plugged in by accident? No, the geometry of the 10A–42V socket makes standard household plugs incompatible — a deliberate safety feature for students.

What does the HPL coating add over plain laminated board? HPL plastic is markedly more resistant to moisture, abrasion and scratching, so the top keeps its appearance longer in heavily used laboratory rooms.
