Laboratory Chair with Plastic Monoblock

This laboratory chair with a plastic monoblock (article 48481) is a model for chemistry, physics and biology rooms and other spaces where furniture is frequently exposed to moisture and reagents and needs regular washing. Its key difference is the seat and backrest made of moulded polypropylene: the solid plastic shell does not absorb moisture, is easy to clean and withstands disinfection, unlike plywood or upholstered seats.

The monoblock is a blow-moulded, one-piece shell with a light surface texture — it is non-slip and hides minor scratches. The corners are rounded and smooth, which protects clothing and prevents injuries, while the curved shape ensures comfortable seating. A hole in the backrest makes it easy to move the chair around the room. The frame is made of a metal tube 20 mm in diameter, at least 1.5 mm thick, and fixed to the monoblock with a hex bolt; the frame is powder coated. Plastic end caps on the metal ends protect the floor from damage.
