This school canteen chair with a backrest (article 48470HPL) is a dining-hall model with a plywood monoblock faced with HPL laminate. Its main purpose is the eating area: here furniture is wiped down every day after each shift, so a 0.4-0.5 mm HPL coating resistant to moisture and washing is more suitable than a lacquered seat.

The backrest and seat form a single plywood monoblock made of 10 mm bent-glued plywood covered with HPL laminate — this simplifies cleaning and increases wear resistance. The seat is 387 mm wide, 415 mm deep, with a seating height of 457 mm, so the chair suits senior students and canteen staff. The metal frame is made of a round tube 20x1.5 mm with a protective decorative powder coating and joined to the monoblock with rivets. Plastic end caps on the legs prevent injuries and protect the floor from scratches during frequent moving of the chairs.
