Chair with a Continuous-Bent Frame and Plywood Monoblock

This chair with a continuous-bent frame and plywood monoblock is a model for classrooms, offices and other public spaces. Its main structural feature is the continuous-bent metal frame: the support is formed from a single tube with no extra welded joints, making the chair rigid, stable and visually clean. Combined with the plywood monoblock, this gives a light yet sturdy product weighing just 3.64 kg.

The monoblock is made of 10 mm bent-laminated plywood with an anatomical shape that provides comfortable back support and correct body posture. The surface is finished with a wear-resistant lacquer that protects the wood from moisture and mechanical damage while preserving its natural texture. The frame is made from a 25 mm metal tube and fastened to the monoblock with rivets — a joint that does not loosen over time. The frame is powder coated. All metal ends are closed with plastic caps to protect the floor from scratches.

What does a continuous-bent frame provide? The support is bent from a single tube, so it has fewer welded joints — the structure is more rigid, more resistant to loosening and more durable than frames built from separate legs.

Why is the monoblock riveted? A riveted joint does not weaken under daily load the way screws do, so the chair stays firm and rigid even under heavy use.

How does this model differ from the HPL version? Here the plywood is finished with wear-resistant lacquer instead of HPL plastic. The chair is cheaper and keeps the natural look of the wood, but the surface is less resistant to moisture and disinfection than HPL.
