The UBC GERMES 2.1 chest freezer is built for storing and displaying frozen food in large volumes, suited to busy kitchens: school dining halls, kindergartens, hospital catering units and central kitchens. At 2.1 m long with a 980 L capacity and 6 adjustable grids, it lets staff sort products by category and keep a full range of ice cream, semi-finished goods, vegetables, fish and meat available right at the serving line.

Unlike some other models in the line, the GERMES 2.1 features automatic hot-gas defrost — an extra option alongside standard auto-defrost that speeds up the evaporator's defrost cycle. Gable glass slides open on both sides of the unit, while 70 mm insulation and a combined heated-frame condenser keep the -18…-23°C freezing range stable even with frequent lid opening.
