The HENDI Arktic 232187 blast chiller is designed for rapid cooling and freezing of hot dishes and semi-finished products right after cooking. It is a key piece of kitchen technology that shortens the time food spends in the temperature danger zone and helps preserve the quality of cooked meals — an important factor for school, kindergarten and hospital kitchens and other institutions with their own catering facilities.
The unit is designed to hold 10 GN 1/1 gastronorm pans or 600×400 mm trays at once. The cabinet body is made of AISI 201 stainless steel, cooling is dynamic, and the refrigerant is R290. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +10°C, allowing the cabinet to be used both for chilling and for deep-freezing food. Control is digital, a temperature probe is included for monitoring the core temperature of the product, and cycle programming is available.
