The EWT INOX X6D potato peeler is designed for mechanized peeling of potatoes and other root vegetables in the kitchens of schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other institutions that prepare meals for large numbers of people every day. It replaces labor-intensive manual peeling and shortens the time needed to prepare vegetables for further cooking.

The unit's body with the working chamber sits on a stand that houses a container with a filter. Inside the working chamber is a removable abrasive disc that can easily be taken out for cleaning or replacement; the chamber itself is also removable without tools and is dishwasher-safe. Peel residue passes through openings at the bottom of the bowl and is caught by the filter inside the stand, while peeled vegetables are discharged automatically through an outlet at the front of the chamber. A transparent lid allows the operator to monitor the peeling process and makes unloading the finished product easier.
