Staff BTE150 Hard Ice Cream Freezer

The Staff BTE150 is a hard ice cream freezer made by the Italian manufacturer Staff, built for producing classic hard ice cream right on site — in a catering kitchen or a pastry workshop. The vertical, electromechanically controlled unit is designed for regular output of small and medium batches, making it a practical choice for school, kindergarten and healthcare facility kitchens that prepare their own desserts for pupils, children or patients.

The freezer works on the batch-freezing principle: the mix is poured into the working cylinder, churned and chilled through the cycle, then the finished ice cream is unloaded. Each cycle of the BTE150 processes 1.5 to 2.6 litres of mix (1.15–2.3 kg), with a total hourly output of up to 15 litres or 12 kilograms of finished product. The air-cooled condenser needs no water supply connection, which simplifies installation in a kitchen or pastry workshop.
