The AIRHOT 005116 contact grill is used in the kitchens of schools, kindergartens and hospitals for the fast cooking of meat, fish, vegetables, sandwiches and hot toasted rolls — dishes often included on breakfast or lunch menus at institutions with centralized catering. Simultaneous contact between the food and the lower and upper cooking plates shortens cooking time compared with an ordinary pan.
The unit has a single cooking station with ribbed cast iron plates, coated for non-stick performance and easy to clean after use. The upper plate is not fixed — it floats freely onto the food, adjusting to its thickness and ensuring even cooking without drying it out. Working surface width ranges from 300 to 400 mm. Temperature is set via a thermostat within +50 to +300°C, with a front-panel indicator showing the heating mode. A grease collection tray and stable feet are included for convenient operation. The grill runs on a 220 V supply, with 1800 W of heating power. Overall dimensions are 400×300×210 mm.
