Its key feature is a heat-conductive liquid inside the handle that draws warmth from the hand and transfers it to the bowl, making it easier to scoop and release even the hardest frozen ice cream. The scoop works equally well for right- and left-handed users. Besides ice cream, it can also be used to shape round balls of cookie dough.
