The Paderno 42506-16 meat hook is built for heavier loads than the shorter models in the same range. It is used in school, kindergarten and hospital kitchens, as well as foodservice businesses, wherever a poultry carcass, a cut of meat or smoked products need to be hung in a cold room or storeroom for storage, thawing or while awaiting further processing.
The hook is made of stainless steel, is 16 cm long and has a wire diameter of about 1 cm — this extra thickness gives it the strength margin needed for heavier portions. Its shape is fixed, with a single point and no swivel mechanism. The steel resists moisture, fat and contact with detergents and disinfectants, which matters for inventory that comes into daily contact with raw food. It is supplied in packs of 10, enough to fit out several shelving units or transport trolleys at once.
