The Araven 18237 storage tower holds a GN 1/2 food pan with an 18 L capacity and is designed specifically for fruit, vegetables and other food with a high moisture content. Unlike ordinary stacking of pans on top of each other, the tower frame leaves space around the pan walls, allowing cold air to circulate freely on every side.

The ventilated frame structure acts as the pan's cover, so no separate lid is needed. This lets food cool down faster after loading and helps maintain a stable low temperature without condensation building up on the walls and bottom of the pan. This matters especially for moist produce: excess water released by fruit and vegetables during storage escapes through the ventilated sections of the frame instead of collecting inside and causing spoilage. The ribbed bottom of the Araven pan further supports air circulation and helps prevent condensation.
