Ride-on transport for kindergartens and development centres
Balance bikes, tricycles, scooters and ride-on cars are not just entertainment: riding develops balance, coordination and confidence of movement in preschoolers. Kindergartens use them on walking playgrounds and in sports activities, while development centres use them in active play areas.
The category includes balance bikes and bicycles for different ages, scooters and ride-on cars for the youngest children. For an institution the key points are a strong frame that withstands an intensive change of riders, wheels that need no inflation (EVA or solid — no punctures) and height adjustment. For nursery groups choose ride-ons with a stable wide base.
Prioritti equips kindergartens and centres with ride-on transport from various manufacturers and provides acceptance documents with every delivery, which is convenient for institutional procurement. What else to plan in the equipment list is covered in the article Warranty and documents for institutional furniture.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better for a kindergarten: a balance bike or a tricycle? For ages 2–3 — ride-on cars and tricycles, from 3–4 years — balance bikes: they develop balance best before a child moves to a two-wheeled bicycle.
Which wheels are more practical for an institution? Solid or EVA wheels: they need no inflation and are not afraid of punctures, so the transport is always ready for a walk.
