Impact-absorbing surfacing for playgrounds
Surfacing is not an add-on to a playground but its main safety element: it is what softens falls from slides, swings and play structures. Impact absorption requirements depend directly on the free fall height of the equipment, so surfacing is selected together with the play structures, not after their installation.
The category includes rubber tiles of various thicknesses, seamless poured surfaces and modular elements for zones under equipment and for walkways. Choose by critical fall height (specified for each surface), thickness and resistance to frost and ultraviolet. For kindergartens a trauma-safe surface without joints that catch footwear is also important.
