Canteen Tableware and Utensils: What Is Allowed
Tableware is the one group with an explicit ban in the sanitary regulation — and the one schools most often get wrong.
- Chipped, enamelled, aluminium and reusable plastic tableware is prohibited.
- Colour coding of boards and knives continues the separation of flows; it is not decoration for inspectors.
- Withdrawing damaged items must be a routine procedure, not a one-off before an inspection.
- Children with gluten and lactose intolerance require dedicated tableware and utensils.
